About Doomward: Dungeon Autobattler
Doomward: Dungeon Autobattler is a roguelike autobattler in which the player runs a guild of heroes but never controls combat directly: every fight plays itself. The player hires heroes from a roster of classes, chooses their specializations, equips them, lends them abilities borrowed from other classes and writes the rules they follow in battle, such as which enemy to hit first, when to hold a big spell and when to drink a potion. Heroes leave states on enemies that other heroes can build on, such as chilling, freezing and then shattering a foe. Death is permanent. Every expedition on the world map advances the Doom Clock. Each place has its own weather, traps and enemies, forks in the road offer optional risks and rewards, and contracts let the player bet on how an expedition will go. As the clock runs down, Harbingers lay siege to the player's town, and losing a siege ends the run. The run ends in a phased raid-boss fight against a Herald, where a randomly assigned party ultimate, the Doombreaker, is charged by hits, kills and fallen heroes. The game supports online and LAN co-op for 2-4 players, 1v1 and 2v2 rival runs, and a 1v1 and 2v2 PvP arena, as well as Daily and Weekly seeded runs ranked on Steam leaderboards and optional Edicts that change the rules of a run.
